Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU), part of the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) group, has been officially recognised as a Top Employer for 2026 by the prestigious Top Employers Institute, reinforcing its position as one of Uganda’s leading employers and people-focused organisations.
The recognition places CCBU among an elite group of employers across the CCBA footprint, with six other countries achieving the same distinction. In addition, CCBA has once again been certified as a Top Employer in Africa at regional level, marking its second consecutive year of regional certification.
The 2026 certification highlights consistent improvement across CCBA’s operations. Country-level Top Employer status has been retained by Uganda, Ethiopia, South Africa and Tanzania, all of which recorded improved performance compared to the previous year. Notably, 2026 also marks the first-time certification of CCBA operations in Botswana, Kenya and Mozambique, underscoring the group’s continued investment in people and workplace excellence across the continent.
The Top Employers Institute, active in more than 125 countries and regions, is the global authority on HR certification, benchmarking organisations through its rigorous HR Best Practices Survey. The assessment spans six critical domains: People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Employee Wellbeing.

Commenting on the achievement, Emmy Hashakimana, Managing Director of Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, said the certification reflects the company’s deep commitment to employee growth and a thriving workplace culture.
“This certification demonstrates our commitment to unparalleled professional growth for our people, providing an exciting journey of learning and development within a passionate, caring team,” Hashakimana said
He added that CCBU’s success is anchored in investing in people as a growth accelerator.
“We thrive on delivering beloved Coca-Cola brands, making a positive impact in our communities, and achieving market success together. We invest in our people to foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace that drives sustainable growth.”
Hashakimana further noted that CCBA’s approach to talent development is built on empowerment and ownership.
“At CCBA, we don’t hand you a role. We create an opportunity, provide the tools, and challenge our people to build careers they can truly call their own.”
As CCBU looks ahead, the Top Employer certification reinforces its long-term commitment to building a workplace culture that prioritizes people, performance, and positive impact, both within the business and in the communities it serves.
