Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone has revealed that he was rapidly losing vision in his right eye before undergoing a successful surgical procedure in Kampala.
In a message shared with fans, the artist, whose real name is Joseph Mayanja, expressed gratitude to God and the medical team that treated him at Kampala Eye Lasik Hospital. He specifically thanked eye specialist Dr Ludovica Tindebwa for the care and support he received during the process.
Chameleone said he had been experiencing a fast decline in vision in his right eye prior to the operation, which prompted the medical intervention. He also offered prayers for continued healing as he recovers.
The revelation drew strong reactions from fans and fellow artists, with many sending prayers and messages of encouragement across social media platforms.
The singer has previously faced serious health challenges, including acute pancreatitis that required specialized treatment in the United States before he returned home in April 2025. His latest update reflects optimism as he continues on his recovery journey.
