Jose Chameleone Announces “Unlimited” Concert Set for May 1, 2026, Marking His Big Solo Return

Jose Chameleone announces his highly anticipated “Unlimited” concert scheduled for May 1, 2026.

Ugandan music legend Joseph Mayanja, famously known as Jose Chameleone, has officially announced his long-awaited return to the big stage with a major solo concert slated for May 1, 2026. The announcement comes nearly a year after his last major solo showcase, the “Legend in Gold” concert, held on August 31, 2024, at the Kampala Serena Hotel. That historic night celebrated 25 years of Jose Chameleone’s music career, featuring an electrifying near four-hour performance packed with over 40 songs, spanning decades of hits in Luganda, Swahili, and English.

Since then, Chameleone has remained a dominant presence on stage and in public life. Between late 2024 and early 2025, he delivered standout performances at the Iryn Namubiru Timeless Experience and took his sound beyond borders with international shows, including a notable appearance at Kigali Universe in Rwanda.

In 2026, the Leone Island boss has been equally visible, actively performing at NRM presidential campaign rallies and headlining a mega New Year showdown at Hotel Le Confidentiel. That Arua event drew massive crowds and doubled as the official commissioning of Nileflix Cinema, reported to be the city’s first. The moment carried deep personal meaning for the singer, who was accompanied by his mother, Proscovia Musoke. Chameleone said he wanted to create joyful memories with her in Arua, replacing the difficult memories linked to his hospitalization the previous year.

As the CEO of Leone Island Music Empire and Chameleon Radio in Burundi, Jose Chameleone’s influence continues to shape East Africa’s music industry. With “Unlimited” now on the calendar, fans are expecting nothing short of a bold, emotional, and high-energy celebration of resilience, legacy, and timeless music.

All eyes now turn to May 1, 2026, as one of Africa’s most influential artists prepares to remind the world once again why he remains truly unlimited.
