Uganda’s entertainment scene is buzzing once again and this time, the drama circles back to the ever-controversial Uncle Chumi. The social media personality has ignited fresh debate after publicly demanding a refund of the money she tipped singers Sheebah Karungi and Ritah Dancehall during a live stage performance.
According to Uncle Chumi, she splashed Shs 3 million on the two entertainers while under the influence of alcohol money she now claims she wants back.
“If I Was Sober, I Would Have Given Only Shs 500,000”
In a heated interview on a local TV entertainment show, Uncle Chumi insisted that the generous tip was a mistake fueled by excitement and intoxication. She argued that had she been in her right senses, the maximum she could have offered was Shs 500,000.
However, the plot thickened when she revealed that the amount in question was actually Shs 6 million, not the earlier stated Shs 3 million. She claimed the money was originally budgeted for the video production of her new song “Womanizer.”

Uncle Chumi says attempts to privately reach the artists have failed. Her calls to Ritah Dancehall allegedly go unanswered, and she claims Sheebah has also not responded to her concerns.
Feeling ignored, she warned that she may soon involve “Daddy Amir” real name Suleiman Jaffar, Sheebah’s partner and father of her child.
“You Should Know When a Person Is Tipsy”
In her televised remarks, Uncle Chumi blasted the two performers, saying:
“Queen Sheebah, for the years you have performed on stage, and Ritah Dancehall, don’t you differentiate between a person who is tipsy from a normal one? I tipped you Shs 3M and you pocketed it.”
She has since called upon her fans and followers to help amplify her plea for a refund.
The flamboyant entertainer is no stranger to drama, whether online rants, showbiz feuds, or unpredictable public outbursts. Her latest confrontation adds yet another chapter to a reputation built on bold statements and viral moments.
As of now, Sheebah and Ritah Dancehall have not issued any official response regarding the refund claims.
Whether the money will be refunded or this will escalate further remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: Uganda’s entertainment streets never sleep and Uncle Chumi continues to be one of the loudest voices keeping them awake.
Controversial singer Uncle Chumi demands a refund of Shs 3M she tipped Sheebah on stage, blaming being “drunk” at the time.
