Uganda Baati Limited has taken another step toward advancing inclusive growth by convening a high-impact women’s empowerment forum in Kampala, bringing together leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals for a conversation centered on mentorship, resilience, and shared success.
Held under the theme “Give to Gain,” the engagement focused on creating meaningful connections and encouraging women to actively support each other’s growth in both professional and community spaces. The atmosphere was intentionally collaborative, allowing participants to openly share experiences and explore pathways to leadership in an evolving business environment.

A defining moment of the event was the unveiling of the interim governance structure for the Safal Circles, Uganda Baati Limited chapter. The initiative introduces a more structured approach to mentorship and leadership development, designed to move beyond one-off engagements into sustained, long-term impact.
Through Safal Circles, Uganda Baati is seeking to build a strong internal and external network where women can access opportunities, sharpen their skills, and amplify their voices. The platform is expected to play a key role in shaping a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth within the company’s ecosystem.
Speaking at the forum, George Arodi emphasized that empowering women is not just a social responsibility but a strategic imperative for sustainable progress.
“At UBL, we believe that when women are empowered, communities prosper and institutions grow stronger. Creating spaces where women feel seen, heard, and supported is not just the right thing to do, it is essential for sustainable progress.”
His remarks reflected a broader shift among leading companies toward embedding inclusion into core business strategy, recognizing that diverse leadership drives stronger outcomes.

The forum also featured insights from Amelia Kyambadde, who challenged participants to take initiative and remain confident in their abilities.
“Do not wait to feel ready, start where you are, believe in your worth, and take the opportunity when it comes. And as you rise, lift another woman with you.”
Her message reinforced the importance of self-belief and collective advancement principles that align closely with the forum’s central theme.
Beyond the conversations, the event signals Uganda Baati’s growing focus on building a strong internal culture that prioritizes people alongside performance. By institutionalizing mentorship through Safal Circles, the company is positioning itself to nurture the next generation of women leaders while strengthening its broader social impact.
As Uganda’s business environment continues to evolve, initiatives like “Give to Gain” highlight how corporate leadership can influence not just markets, but communities. For Uganda Baati, the investment in women’s empowerment is also an investment in long-term growth, resilience, and a more inclusive future.
