Uganda marked a powerful and successful debut at Gulfood 2026, the world’s leading food and beverage trade exhibition, held from January 26–30 in Dubai. For the first time, the country participated under the Made in Uganda (MIU) brand, proudly presenting its rich agricultural heritage and accelerating shift toward value-added exports.
The Made in Uganda pavilion stood out with a vibrant showcase of high-quality, export-ready products. Featured offerings included premium Ugandan Robusta coffee in Screen 15 and Screen 18 grades, cocoa, spices, avocado oil, dried fruits, natural honey, and organic snacks. Together, these products reflected Uganda’s growing strength in innovation, quality assurance, and sustainable production. The pavilion attracted strong interest from buyers, distributors, and investors across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and other global markets.
As the exhibition closed, MIU extended appreciation to exhibitors, partners, supporters, and visitors who contributed to the country’s impactful presence. From concept development and branding to logistics and on-ground coordination, Uganda’s participation successfully brought the Made in Uganda story to life on an international stage.
This milestone aligns with Uganda’s broader national strategy focused on agro-industrialization, value addition, and market diversification to increase export earnings. Government leaders, including Monica Musenero Masanza, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, highlighted the strong buyer engagement, confirmed orders, and promising new market opportunities secured during the event.
Ugandan excellence was confidently presented to the world at Gulfood 2026, affirming that Uganda’s products are ready for global markets. This debut signals the beginning of expanded trade partnerships, stronger export growth, and greater international visibility in the years ahead.
