The Uganda Advertising Association has officially brought back AdNites, reviving one of Uganda’s most recognisable networking platforms for the advertising and creative communications industry. Held at Shisa Nyama, the return of the event drew agency leaders, creatives, media personalities, freelancers and emerging talent for an evening centered on networking, collaboration and industry connection.

The comeback signals a renewed push by UAA to strengthen relationships across Uganda’s advertising ecosystem at a time when the industry continues to evolve through digital transformation, changing consumer trends and increased demand for creative innovation.

For many within the industry, AdNites was once more than a social gathering. It served as a regular meeting point where ideas were exchanged, partnerships formed and professional relationships built beyond office spaces and client pitches.

Speaking during the event, UAA Chairman Peter Kazibwe said the platform’s revival was driven by the need to reconnect an industry built on people, creativity and collaboration.

“Advertising is a people business. Some of the greatest ideas, partnerships and friendships in this industry started in spaces like these,” Kazibwe said.

He added that the association plans to make AdNites a quarterly event, creating a consistent space where agencies, freelancers, production houses, media owners, clients and young creatives can meet, engage and grow together.

UAA’s Bigger Vision for Industry Growth

The revival of AdNites forms part of broader efforts by UAA to deepen industry engagement, strengthen membership, promote mentorship and raise the visibility of Uganda’s creative communications sector.

As the umbrella body for the country’s advertising industry, UAA continues to position creativity as a driver of business growth, brand development and economic progress. The association is also widely known for organizing the Silverback Awards, which celebrates excellence in advertising, innovation and impactful brand communication.

With AdNites now back on the calendar, the association is betting on the power of community to help shape the next chapter of Uganda’s creative industry.

As Uganda’s advertising landscape continues to grow, platforms like AdNites could once again become where the industry’s next big ideas and partnerships begin.
