The escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has taken another dramatic turn after three American fighter jets crashed in Kuwait during what officials described as a friendly fire incident.
The incident occurred between March 1 and March 2, 2026 as the aircraft were supporting the ongoing military campaign known as Operation Epic Fury, a joint operation launched by the United States and Israel targeting Iranian military infrastructure.
Three US Fighter Jets Shot Down
According to the United States Central Command, three F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets were mistakenly engaged by Kuwaiti air defense systems while operating in the region during heightened combat conditions.
The aircraft were reportedly misidentified as hostile targets during a period of intense Iranian retaliatory strikes that included ballistic missiles, drones, and aircraft targeting US and allied positions across the Gulf.
