The India AI Impact Expo 2026 opened on 16 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking one of the central events of the five‑day India AI Impact Summit. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the expo brings together governments, businesses, innovators, researchers and visitors from across the world to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping economies, societies and public policy in the coming decade.
The expo runs from 16 to 20 February alongside the summit, which is one of the largest global gatherings on AI to date. Hosted under the theme of inclusive and responsible AI development, the event aims to turn cutting‑edge research and prototypes into real solutions that address pressing challenges in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and industry.
Global Participation and Scale
Spread across over 70,000 square metres and organised into 10 major arenas, the expo features more than 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations of emerging AI technologies. These exhibits are structured around key thematic pillars that focus on how AI can benefit people, the planet and collective progress.
Participation spans startups, large technology firms, research institutions and governments. Over 600 high potential startups are showcasing real‑world solutions, and 13 country pavilions highlight international collaboration in the AI ecosystem, including delegations from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
Summit Linkages and Thought Leadership
The expo runs in parallel with the India AI Impact Summit 2026, which draws world leaders, CEOs of major technology companies, policymakers and innovators for discussions on AI governance, ethics, safety and economic impact. The summit features hundreds of sessions and panels intended to define shared approaches for AI deployment globally.
Organisers describe the expo as a place “where pilots become policy, partnerships become industries, and innovation delivers measurable societal and economic value.” It is open to a wide audience that includes professionals, students, researchers and the general public with early registration.
Audience Experience and Logistics
While the expo officially began with a high‑profile inauguration attended by government dignitaries and global tech leaders, it is open to all registered visitors for general attendance from 17 February onwards. Attendees can explore exhibits, attend open panels and engage with exhibitors on AI solutions that are already in use.
Heavy security and traffic arrangements around central Delhi reflect the scale of the event, with multiple access points and transit guidance issued for attendees. Despite some logistical challenges reported by participants and long queues on the first day, the overall focus remains on fostering global dialogue and practical AI innovation.
Positioning India on the Global AI Stage
The India AI Impact Expo 2026 and its accompanying summit represent India’s bid to play a leading role in shaping global AI norms and practices. By bringing together diverse voices from developed and developing nations, the event is seen as a step toward building more inclusive, ethical and impactful frameworks for AI adoption worldwide.
