January is shaping up to be a strategic month for entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and development practitioners as Asely Business Innovations rolls out key initiatives focused on growth and capacity building. The organization has begun the year by engaging stakeholders across the business ecosystem to align priorities and lay the groundwork for impactful collaborations.
A key highlight of these engagements is the Asely Advisory Board Meeting scheduled for 19 January. The meeting will bring together board members and leadership to review progress, provide strategic guidance, and strengthen governance as the organization sets its direction for the year ahead.
Towards the end of the month, Asely Business Innovations will host a four-day Grant Writing Clinic starting 30 January, delivered through both online and physical sessions. The clinic is designed to equip entrepreneurs, SMEs, non-profits, and development practitioners with practical grant writing skills, proposal structuring techniques, and a clearer understanding of funder expectations.

According to Ntambi Sadat, Business Lead at Asely Business Innovations, the initiative goes beyond skills training.
“Our goal is to empower entrepreneurs and SMEs with practical, relevant skills while pushing the standards of Business Development Services in Uganda. Through the Grant Writing Clinic, we are strengthening how businesses and organizations position themselves for sustainable growth and funding,” he said.
As competition for funding and support continues to grow, initiatives that combine strategic leadership and hands-on capacity building are becoming increasingly important. Through its January programmes, Asely Business Innovations is positioning itself as a key contributor to stronger, more sustainable enterprise development in Uganda.
Asely Business Innovations is a business development and innovation organisation focused on empowering entrepreneurs and SMEs through capacity building, strategic support, and improved Business Development Services standards across Uganda.
