2025 UACE Results Set for Release Today as Over 166,000 Candidates Await Outcome

The results for the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education examinations are scheduled for official release today, Friday, March 13, 2026, bringing an end to months of anticipation for thousands of students across the country.

The Uganda National Examinations Board will release the results at 11:00 AM during an event at State House in Nakasero, Kampala. The ceremony will be presided over by the Minister of Education and Sports and First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni, following preparations and briefings earlier in the week.

The UACE examinations, commonly known as Senior Six or Form Six results, are a major academic milestone in Uganda’s education system. They determine eligibility for university admission and other higher education opportunities, making the announcement one of the most closely watched events on the academic calendar.

A total of 166,402 candidates registered for the 2025 examination cycle, reflecting a noticeable increase compared to previous years. The candidates sat for the examinations between November and December 2025 at 2,844 examination centers across the country.

According to available data, male candidates accounted for about 56 percent of the total registrations, while female candidates made up approximately 44 percent. The figures highlight both the scale of participation and the continued growth in the number of students completing advanced secondary education.

In the days leading up to the release, anxiety and excitement have been building among candidates, parents, and school administrators. For many students, the results will determine their next academic steps, including applications to universities, tertiary institutions, and specialized training programs.

The Uganda National Examinations Board spent several months conducting the marking process and verifying examination scripts to ensure accuracy before releasing the final results.

Once officially released, candidates will be able to access their results through several channels provided by UNEB.

Students can check their results via SMS by sending their full index number to the designated short code, which is usually announced during the official release ceremony. Results are also expected to be available online through the UNEB eResults portal.

In addition, schools will receive official copies of the results for distribution to their candidates.

Education stakeholders are expected to closely analyze the performance statistics once the results are announced. These will include overall pass rates, subject performance trends, and comparisons with results from previous years.

Media outlets and education experts will also likely highlight top performing schools and candidates while examining broader trends within the national education system.

As the country awaits the official announcement, thousands of candidates across Uganda are preparing to learn the outcomes of exams that could shape their academic and professional futures.
